Monica Stadalski was born in Columbus, Georgia but spent most of her childhood growing up in Alaska due to her father's career in the Army. Currently, she is living in Northern New York with her adoring husband, two teenage sons, a brand new lab/pit bull mix puppy and two cats.

Monica began seriously pursuing her art career in her mid-twenties and most of her free time was spent reading art books and researching different mediums. She has worked in graphite, colored pencil, pen & ink and now soft pastels. Even though this is the newest of all the mediums to her, she has found that pastels are by far her favorite. The intensity of color that pastels allow are, for her, the most inviting attribute of the medium.

Monica is currently pursuing her career in art full-time, while also offering low-cost, creative web and graphic design services to businesses and artists in the area.
